The NODE’s continuing leadership in the segment impresses the world’s most prestigious hi-fi press
TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA, AUGUST 15, 2021 – Bluesound, a leading manufacturer of premium wireless multiroom hi-res streaming players, announced today that its newest NODE has won the 2021-22 EISA Award for Digital Music Player. EISA, the Expert Imaging and Sound Association, is an independent body of over 50 specialty electronics publications from around the world. The award winners are chosen as the best in their category from the thousands of products tested and reviewed by EISA member publications over the year.
The editors of EISA’s hi-fi audio board lauded the Bluesound NODE for its refinement and intuitiveness, saying:
“Bluesound’s multiroom wireless system was revolutionary when it first appeared, its BluOS platform having been designed to play music all the way up to hi-res, with a process of refinement and development ever since. This latest version of its NODE music player is a simple way to bring multiroom to your system, with Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Apple AirPlay 2, aptX HD Bluetooth and USB-A to access audio content from streaming services, Internet radio and your own music library. And the new NODE now also has HDMI ARC, for audio from TVs and gaming systems – all controlled using the intuitive BluOS Controller app or via the popular voice assistants.”
“Streaming has really changed music consumption and has offered a platform for emerging artists to reach new audiences,” says Matt Simmonds, Product Manager at Bluesound. “The NODE was created to allow audiophiles to access new and old favorites, and not be beholden to just their listening room to enjoy great sound.”
With the EISA Awards now in their fourth decade and a membership including the leading audio publications from Europe, The Americas, and Asia-Pacific, the results are widely regarded as one of the highest honours in the hi-fi industry. To win an EISA award, products undergo a robust, rigorous and exhaustive judging process in two stages. Following intensive testing and audition by specialists at EISA member publications, each member submits a shortlist of the best products in each awards category before being put through a democratic voting process to establish a consensus of excellence and determine the winning products.
